Remember last year when I was on the hunt for special Christmas stockings? Well, I never found any I liked well enough, or that we could afford (why are those things SO expensive?) so we didn't end up having stockings at all.
This year I've decided I'm going to make our stockings. I found this tutorial I am going to try and use. Old used sweaters? What could be cheaper?
I also like her tutorial for sweater skits. Obviously, right up my alley. :)

Love both patterns and totally admire your ambition! I actually found some really cute stockings at Cracker Barrel for $5 that I'm getting for us this year. :) I just don't have the patience to craft them myself.
$5?! That's cheap! The ones at Hobby Lobby/Michaels/Target are like $25 a piece (unless you get the felt ones, of course)
I must see these stockings. :)
Well, they are little more cutesy than what I had initially thought I'd want, but now that Katie is here, I can't resist the cutesy! I was seriously shocked at the price. And they had Santa, Reindeer and a Snowman, I think. And they had sweater cuffs. Now I'm having a hard time remembering them and they aren't on their website! But, I do remember that they were adorable and that I was impressed that they were only $4.99. I truly thought they'd cost at least $15, but probably more like $20! Anyhow, I'm sure we'll be having a Cracker Barrel lunch when you are here...can't you just taste the Chicken 'n Dumplings already??? :D
