Finally Found What I Was Looking For!

Instead of a bookcase, I think I want this for Katie's room. I had a bookcase that would work, but Doug's got so much stuff on it, that I can't even begin to figure out where we'd put it all. Besides, this is shorter, so it will be easier for her to use later. When she's actually old enough to put away her toys and stuff. I'll get these cute pink and green drawers to go in it for her toys and that'll leave plenty of space for her books (for now!)

Inspire Board - Master Bedroom

Okay, so I put together an "inspriation" board for the master bedroom, using that quilt (which I haven't ordered yet, but I'm going to).

Any suggestions? Not quite positive about the paint color just yet. I may go a bit creamier in tone.

RIP Casper

Pretty Casper-Girl!

My sweetheart of a dog passed away tonight.

She loved:
Laying in the shade on a hot day
Snow
Pig Ears
French Fries
Tug of War with socks
The words: Friend, Confused, Rigatoni, Ride, Rabowski
Rubs on her chest
Madeleine

Updated Hazel Pics

Thought I'd share some recent pics of my cutie. The first couple were from her first trip to the park.

Getting ready to go down the slide.

That was FUN!

First time in a swing.

What'cha doin'?

Mommy's attempt to tame my hair didn't work out so well.

My Results

Okay, so I did take the quiz twice, because I didn't find my first results totally accurate. Although, surprisingly it's the same 3 styles, only this time in a different order. The first one said I was 50% Nantucket, and while I do like that I knew it just wasn't true. I think the Traditional Country is definitely me. I'd love a country style farmhouse, painted yellow with white shutters and a red door, with lots of cheery colors in the house to make things warm and inviting.

55% Traditional Country
36% Wine Country Style
9% Nantucket Style

Cool Quiz

Just took this quiz to figure out my style quotient. Apparently, I like country traditional. I'm guessing it's mostly right because I LOVE the pic of the room that represented it! Now to recreate...

Overall results:
75% Country Traditional
25% Nantucket Style

I think it's pretty right on. Take the quiz here.

Rugs, curtains and fun...

Okay, new plan. What do you think of this:

Dotty bumper!
Stripey dust ruffle!
Adorable rug!
Too cute curtain!

Okay, I probably won't go for the curtain, because I'm not a big fan of the sheer, but it is so adorable, I just had to show it to you. :) I'm not 100% certain the bumper and rug are quite the same colors, but I think they'd be close enough, don't you? I'm thinking dots & stripes are pretty versatile and we can put just about anything with it. Bugs, flowers, whatever, right?

Magazine Subscriptions?

Just wondering what, if any, magazines you subscribe to? I'm considering a few house-type magazines, but I'm having a hard time deciding... What do you think? Which ones do you like best?

Bedding!!

For me again. I've been scouring the internet, trying to find the perfect set and darn if you didn't point out how pretty this set is. I know I said our furniture had too much modernness too it, but the more I think I about it, the more I think it will be fine. Assuming you don't mind if we have the same set? Who'll ever see it anyway, right? I decided not to go with the stripey set, because I actually looked at one the other day and it was really muted and faded. After that I realized that wasn't quite what I wanted, plus I've decided I'd like something a little more feminine and Doug truly doesn't care. I may still change my mind again. We've got some extra money coming in sometime in the next few weeks so hopefully, I'll be ordering something soon. The sooner it comes, the sooner, I'll make a decision. I just don't want to have any buyer's remorse, you know?

Ooohhh, I like this set too. You're losing some color versatility though. Hmm...what do you think?

Found Another House!

We'll know on Tuesday if our other house has fallen through. It's not looking good at this point. This house is in the same subdivision, and while it isn't quite as updated, the price is much better. We're pretty happy about our back up plan!

The Victorian was flatout beautiful. Even prettier in person and absolutely ENORMOUS! The kitchen was the same size as my current one except it was entirely usable space--no slopping ceilings and there was cabinets everywhere. The neighborhood wasn't what we had hoped for, though. Not bad, exactly, but it was by a mile the nicest house on the street, know what I mean? Not great for resale...

So Belated...

That's right, your birthday present should be arriving in the next week or two. So so so sorry it is so late (2 months...yikes!) But I know you're going to love it. :)
