House Mania

So, we're still not ACTUALLY buying (yet), but that doesn't stop us from looking! The problem is that we want something with a little bit of land and no close neighbors, but we (read: I) don't want another fixer. So far, we went to two open houses last weekend but didn't really feel inspired by either one.

First one (Not enough character & in a subdivision)
Second one (Yard was too small and the neighbors too close)

Then, on my lunch break today, I'm pretty sure I found THE HOUSE. If it's still on the market in two months (when we could realistically get a loan) it will be ours. Josh is in love, too. We're going to sneakily drive by it tomorrow and check it out.

ETA 1/31: We drove by it today and it's just as perfect in person. *sigh*

So I bet you're just dying to see the links I've put into my baby stuff favorites file, right? Okay, so probably not as much as I'm dying to show them to you! :) There's not very many yet. I'm still concentrating on nursery stuff. Here's what I've got so far.

I'm really loving the ABC theme and if we have a boy, that's definitely (this week!) what I want it to be.

So as you can see, I'm really liking the ABC theme. I'm sure if we find out it's a girl, I'll want to do something completely girly, but maybe not. I think ABC's are neutral enough. Also, I know if it's a boy, I definitely want brighter colors in the room. Pastels are sweet, but little boys don't do pastels (can you tell I think it's going to be a boy?) for long. Although the room color will be pastel. I actually really like the color of my mom & dad's kitchen. I know you were only in there for a few minutes so you might not remember, but it's a really pale creamy yellow. It doesn't even always look yellow, sometimes more cream. It's nice and soothing. I get pretty overwhelmed by alot of color on the wall. Hence the fact that my living room walls are no longer blue. So this to me seems like a good choice. It's not white, which I don't want at all, but it won't be crazy either. Plus, I already know that looks nice with red like in my parents' kitchen and I'm thinking a blue would compliment it nicely as well. And if we do have a girl, what would be prettier with pale yellow walls, then lavender? :)
