I Got You A Book

It's this. I'm sending it with your birthday present, but it isn't one of your presents, so I thought I'd let you know so you didn't go out and buy it yourself. :)

Something for Me...

I noticed when I was at Target last night that they had seasons of my favorite TV show on sale. I checked on Amazon tonight and they were even cheaper. I told Doug that I was going to order one of the seasons, just one, because I missed them being on sale last time which was around Christmas and I've asked for them every year for the last couple of years and haven't gotten any. Well, most of them were only $19.99 so told Doug that I'd have to order something else because I wanted to get Free Super Saver Shipping. So then I said, maybe I should just order 2 seasons and he started to freak out. How dumb is that? He just got a stupid $700 TV and I can't spend $45 on DVDs? In the end I didn't. I order the season that was $25.99 just in order to get the free shipping, but now I'm going to get them out of order. I'm so annoyed!

Sleepy Girl

How can I be tired this morning when I went to bed at 10:30 last night. And it wasn't that I stayed up late reading or something. I tried to read and that lasted about 30 seconds. I flat out went to bed. I even woke up without my alarm and everything. So why am I yawning right now?

Doug's Birthday & Other Good Things!

Doug got his birthday present a little early today. He may never come out of the basement again!

Oh and next time the baby wants ice cream, have Josh get you this. It's heavenly!

Come Be My Slave! :)

When you guys come, I think it'd be fun to go and do this. Basically you'll be my slaves and be cooking me dinner for after peanut gets here. Pretty evil of me, isn't it?

It really does seem like it'd be a fun activity, though, and the recipes sound awesome!

In other news, finally talked to my mom. She was... weird about the whole thing. Not exactly the excitement I was expecting, but I'm not sure I should have expected anything given she's already had 2 grandkids this year!

Oh, but she did say, "Better be a girl!" But no pressure, right?

In other news, finally broke down and bought more Bluff Dust today. I've discovered the bitter truth about Benefit. Once you've tried it, nothing else compares!

Hahaha!!!!

I just tried looking up your registry here at work and it tripped the filter...

What kind of baby stuff did you register for?? :)

New Look

I changed our layout. I think we've used this one before, but the blue was making me think of winter and snow and yuck! This is a little happier, don't you think?

How's the new car? I looked it up on the internet and it kind of reminded me of a PT Cruiser. Do you like it? I even saw it in orange!

I posted on Josh's blog that he needed to write more, but so far I don't think he's updated. :)

Well, I'm at work, so I'll have to keep this short. Talk to you later.

Sugar & Spice

Did you know that according to this you are having a girl? My mom saw it in the doctor's office today and called to tell me about it. It's supposedly fairly accurate. :)

Good!

I'm glad that was the right picture. I looked through all of them and I kept coming up with that one in a bookmark, but never the picture. I hope you do end up using that because you *might* be getting a gift loosely based in that color scheme. ;) That's all I'm saying.

Also, I was at Penney's yesterday for the sidewalk sale and they had a TON of maternity shirts on clearance (like $7-10). They were pretty basic, solid color long sleeve things, but I thought you probably might need some of that soon enough. Also, just a tip from my SIL, Becky, she said to tell you that Kohl's maternity clothes suck, even though they are made by Motherhood, which apparently has the *best* (but pricier) maternity stuff. Geez...how many times can I say maternity? Maternitymaternitymaternitymaternitymaternity! Okay, now I think it is out of my system! Oh, and the Penney's stuff is pretty good, so don't worry about that. She just said the Kohl's stuff tends to shrink or fall apart. Okay, I hope you don't freak out now because you just bought a bunch of stuff at Kohl's this weekend! :)

Planning

I'm so excited that now we have something else to plan for! Speaking of which is this the picture you were referring to? It's adorable, if it is. Also, you probably haven't thought this far or maybe you have, but what about a diaper bag? E&B have one of these for all of their kids and they have loved them. I think that it's especially nice for the dad's because then they don't feel all goofy carrying around a pastel colored frou-frou bag. Plus, the backpack makes it super versatile. You can carry it for years. In fact, Sammy still has hers, it's the bag she takes when she spends the night somewhere. And if you got the gray it wouldn't be totally gender specific.

In other plans, I'm stumped as to what I'm getting Doug for his birthday. So far I got him this, since his birthday falls on Groundhog Day (it cost more to ship it then it did to buy it!). I'm sure he'll think it's goofy. He'll probably put it with the Hawaiian cow I got him. You know, I haven't seen that cow since I gave it to him 3 years ago! :) Does Josh still have his goose? Maybe Uncle Doug will have to find a special goose for the baby! :)

Speaking of birthdays, I need to get your gift ready to be mailed. I might need to add a few more things before I send it though.

Interesting Evening

Tonight I went to see Juno with Desire & Angela. We also had dinner and went to Michael's (I'm working on the wedding album and I needed supplies!). It was a fun time, but a little odd. We don't go out very often and I forget how awkward it is in a group of three. You'd think after 13 years that it wouldn't still feel like that. Weird, isn't? Maybe it was just me. We probably just needed you there to balance things out! We did manage to have fun though and that's all that matters in the end, right?

Oh, and we ran into AF tonight. I haven't seen him in probably 2 years and he came up to us and called us trouble and then left. I think he was a security guard at the movie theater. Anyhow, I remarked that that was the shortest amount of time he'd ever stopped me for and Desire & Angela both said that he pretty much ignores them when they've seen him out. Don't you think that is weird? I mean usually when I've seen him he pretty much corners me for a good 30 minutes.

Oh crap, don't listen to me. I'm hopped up on too much caffeine (damn you, giant frozen coke!) and now I'm trying to counteract it with a benadryl, so I can get some sleep tonight. I've got to work tomorrow and then we're babysitting the nephews after I get off work.

Oh, the other thing that I was going to tell you was that we (Desire, Angela, & I) think that we should plan a trip to come see you sometime soon. How far is the drive to Madison, again?
